In January 2026, SwipeRx hosted Ms. Than Thi Thien Huong, Gender Specialist at the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and Ms. Dang Thi Thanh Binh, Vietnam Country Lead of Investing in Women, an initiative of the Australian Government. After downloading the SwipeRx app and learning about how this digital community of practice makes it easier for thousands of community pharmacy professionals across Southeast Asia to access information, trainings and tools they need to operate effectively, Ms. Huong noted, “The way SwipeRx is using technology to empower community pharmacists to deliver gender responsive healthcare is truly innovative.”
With support from Investing in Women, SwipeRx is leveraging technology-equipped pharmacies to improve the quality of care for older persons and reduce at-home caregiving responsibilities, which disproportionately fall on women. Our model also aims to help community pharmacists – 80% of whom are women – improve client engagement and reputation.
